(((Cults of Power Secrets)))

Transparent are windows,
the soul lives in light,
but what is it that hides
and who are those hiding?

Power says it has rights
to hide its plans to do,
but can democracy hide
plans from the People?

People have privacy rights,
even in a great democracy,
free, to do as they please,
for only conduct, not intent,
can be punished under law.

Inverted then is Bush law,
for it denies people rights
in secrecy to plan and say
whatever it is they will,
and grants Bush secrecies.

It's an old state practice.
these spies in secret cults,
secretly arresting people,
hiding them in dark prisons,
without any exit visas left,
and justifying such darkness
by tortures to find secrets,
that persons must be hiding.

Rationale of police states,
gulag labor camps conspire
to fulfill ends of madness,
eventually come secret plans
for final ultimate solution,
one aiming to end many lives.

Democracy can have no secret,
not if People are to rule,
else must give up freedom,
if it can not know itself
what its hands are doing.

The Holy of Holies was secret,
God's face no one could see,
God's word none could hear,
nor even His presence near;
Intermediators were needed,
to stand in place of Power,
and thus be Power themselves.

Power insists on great Distance
to create gods, secrets, misery,
and death is Distance greatest,
the power over life and death,
the power of living and dying,
the power of singing or crying.
