We are like doughnuts,
Soul is a hole in us
Spirit fills and overflows.

Everyone has a soul,
empty when born,
fetus lack contents,
lacks intents,
only portents.

Lucky people find spirit,
many settle for demons,
because demons are many,
and angels much too few.

Weep for the needy,
cry for the impoverished,
those without lovers,
the widow, the orphan,
the helpless and the hurt --
in the essence of spirit.

That is what justice is,
to give without question
to the miserables,
the victims of life,
ignoring merits in causes.
