[Newspoetry] Logical Spaces

That's what I deeply believe in,
When people ask me of God:
I believe in logical spaces,
With all my heart, all my mind,
Or, most critically, all my soul.
Someday, a college will offer
A useful course on religion:
It will teach us how to write
Scriptures, by feeling God,
And turn us all into Prophets,
At least all of us who pass
The course and get a grade.
Think of it by syllabus in
Department of Scriptures:
In this curriculum sequence
Students will build models:
Write a book of origins,
A book of development,
Lay down laws of God,
Define duties of priests,
Split church and state,
Write poems and songs,
Compose sagas and tales,
Philosophy and fictions.
Today, we end a pretense,
That scriptures are dead,
And that all such writing
Is merely abstract dictate.
We'll finally teach writing,
As the forms of scriptures,
As they have always been,
But somehow we forgot,
While lost in logical spaces.
