Episodic Regularities -

Guns go to holy school,

Leave no child behind,

And shoot those there.

"They are outraged by how Hastert handled this," said Paul M. Weyrich, a
conservative activist who participated in the call. "They feel let down, left
aside. How can they allow a guy like [Foley] to remain chairman of the committee
on missing and exploited children when there is any question about e-mails?"
Washington Post News-Story today.

Between York and Philadelphia,

Southeast of Lancashire,

Northwest of Baltimore,

In quiet Amish country,

A milk truck driver goes nuts,

Imagining women his enemy,

He enters a one-room school,

Lines up the young women,

And shoots them, one by one,

Saving a bullet for himself,

Though he had 600 rounds,

And other explosives along.

So, "[Roberts] was getting revenge for something that happened 20 years ago,"
Miller said. WP Story today.

School is a scarring experience,

The terror of isolation, ostracism,

The lovelessness of loneliness.

For those who can't socialize:

School is a worker readiness program,

With achievements nominal,

Measured by skill aptitude tests,

That measure everything but truth,

That man is a being with a life,

That has more to it than mimicry.

Some, like Roberts, kill young women,

Taking out their sexual frustrations,

Years later, when the scars burst open,

And other get elected to Congress,

And prey on young males and females,

While railing against sexual immorality.

The numb voters - too dumb to reason -

"The ethos of the classroom accents cooperative activity, obedience, respect,
diligence, kindness and interest in the natural world," Kraybill wrote. "Little
attention is given to independent thinking and critical analysis -- the esteemed
values of public education. Despite the emphasis on order, playful pranks and
giggles are commonplace." WP Story.

So, who was it that was left behind,

And do we dread their catching up?

Oh, rage, rage against the dying day,

Rage, rage against the dying light,

And do not go gently into the night?
