Good News, Bad News

The Christian mystery cults,

Founded on bodily resurrection,

Were dealt a fatal blow today.

 

Apparently, history can confirm this now:

There was a Jesus with a familial cult,

Just as Scriptures have long said.

This would be what is undeniable.

 

What later amended Scriptures hid,

And rewrote was the ending,

Preferring an occult version,

Based on a Dead Man Walking,

The improbability of which is so extreme -

Most scientists compute it as impossible.

 

But the occult always omits reality,

Insisting on the darkness of its beliefs,

Its beliefs about the darkness

At the end of the tunnel of the love of life,

The death that comes to every living being.

 

It'd be a more godly story, they said,

If a hero rose from the dead,

To save all those fated to die -

And so he did, so they said,

Hiding all the remains away.

 

Of course, mythological cults will persist

Despite bodies of evidence to the contrary -

Beliefs - right or wrong - never die easy deaths:

We prefer the sweetness of myths to reality -

And bodily resurrection is a best seller myth.

 

A theology's teleology has been deadly wrong,

For hundreds and thousands of years,

Since it invented and foisted off as truth a lie-

Convenient for an IPO cult as major selling point.

 

What do Jews believe - on bodily resurrection?

It may happen, per Ezekiel, perhaps,

But it is not an article of necessary faith.

Muslims say, we know where Muhammad is -

We have his body safely buried away.

 

Body or not, in ancient burial plot,

Jesus was right as Jewish philosophy-

And maybe, just perhaps, someday soon,

Christian theology will examine itself,

And correct a history founded on errors,

And return to the true Christian themes:

Power and wealth are ways of Hell --

Big blow-jobs for big blowhards:

Government has no positive deal with God,

Except oppositional: prophetic anti-theses:

The end and aim of all true religion:

Insist upon the heavenly duty of care:

The downtrodden, the needy, the hurt,

The unsheltered, the poor, the kinless,

The friendless strange aliens,

The wretched buried in the earth,

Those tormented by life's conditions,

They shall surely see God!

They shall surely find Justice!

They shall have places in Heaven!

And indifferent others can go to Hell!

 

It's easier for power to fund a lie

Than to open their eyes and ears,

Open their hearts and their wallets,

And give away their vain distinctions.

 

Truth never depends on any power,

Despite ego power's contrary heresies,

Perverting, distorting, corrupting history:

Perpetual War against the Peace of Man,

The Good of the Earth and of Life upon it.
