Bush remains confident and upbeat.

No matter what fearful disasters fall,
Bush is calm and collected, over all.

He never breaks a sweat, except to run,
unless he's caught out under open sun
and forced to speak, to bark impromptu,
unadvised, unshielded, unwielded, too,
without puppeteer's hand up his ass,
guiding his body like a feathery mass,
jerking strings and lines in Rovian jive,
so that he seems animated and alive.

No matter what fearful disasters fall,
Bush is calm and collected, over all.

Nero fiddled while Rome burned -
That was a collected calm turned
Into a byword for stoic unconcern,
Which yawning Bush wishes us to learn,
As most true of himself as well,
For he says we can all go to hell,
As far as he cares, and he does not,
Nor in the least care to be taught.
