Senate votes to keep pullout-of-Iraq deadline in bill, 50-48.

The rhetoric of the debate devolved

Into a question presumably resolved:

Set deadline on how long and involved

America will be in Iraq, convoluted -

Said GoP, "There's no scene revoluted,

There's no civil conflict to be disputed -

It's a major war, plain simply, muted -

And deadlines in wars are ill reputed."

Muddled Democrats, now instituted

Words, by unopposed rhetoric, bruited,

Failing to get their message tooted:

"There's no war, only chaos unfruited -

Chaos we caused and prolong, rooted

As we are to a place we have looted."
