Throughout the yard and even in the house
Woman says she has stayed up until 4 a.m.
Digging holes in the yard
At one point
She even started a fire to stay warm while she dug
Does the story sound a little crazy?
She says she has "questioned my own sanity."
"She had manhole covers off and everything," 
Animal control guy said.
"I listened.
I stood right next to her when she heard it
And I couldn’t hear it."
And after more than seven weeks
"It’s hard to believe it’s still alive"
Owner says keeps digging holes and keeps her optimism high.
"I’m not going to give up until he quits meowing."
Animal control guy hopes for another rabid bat
"They're easier to deal with
Than freaked-out, underground cats."
