Do you live somewhere in the 15th Congressional District(Map at
www.carlforcongress.org)? Are you interested in Green politics?
Would you like to help the Estabrook for Congress campaign? If your
answer to these questions is "yes," the first Green congressional
campaign ever in Illinois needs you! Please consider volunteering
yourself - and/or a friend or two! - as a Neighborhood Coordinator
for Estabrook for Congress.

As a Neighborhood Coordinator, you call the shots for your
neighborhood about how the Estabrook for Congress campaign grows and
gets to be known. You'll talk to your neighbors about the Green
alternative, plug interested folks into the campaign as potential
supporters (e.g., by registering new voters, helping folks get out to
vote on Election Day, getting brochures and yard signs into their
hands, letting them know about campaign events, inviting them to
contact us to volunteer, maybe finding someone to throw a house party
... you decide!). With other neighborhood coordinators in your city,
town or county, you'll grow the campaign and the Greens in your neck
of the woods, and help the campaign coordinators make key decisions
about what Estabrook for Congress is all about. In a word, you'll be
in the driver's seat.

Please contact me (aweiss at carlforcongress.org) if you'd like to be a
part of the campaign. Even if "neighborhood coordinator" sounds too
daunting (it's not!), we'd very much love to hear from you about how
you might like to participate. That might mean volunteering,
contributing some much-needed cash (to help us handle our office
rent, phone bills and modest but effective advertising budget), or
simply letting us know what you'd like to see the area Greens and
Estabrook for Congress be all about.

The November 5, 2002 election is just a little more than 90 days
away. Let's work together to make Election Day an opportunity to give
voters in the 15th District some real choices about their political
lives, by promoting Green values like social justice, grassroots
democracy, ecological wisdom and nonviolence. Our lives really do
depend on it. Just hit your "reply" button to get started.

Go we go!
