Subject: I need your help with new book

I can’t thank you enough for the work you did on the tour for The Best
Democracy Money Can Buy. Despite the mainstream media black-out, we hit
the NY Times, SF Chronicle and other best-seller lists.

Now, I’ve completely re-written the book and expanded it with new
investigative material on the Bush clan – it’s 50% bigger – for a special
American edition which Penguin publications will release on 25 February.

I NEED YOUR HELP. Rather than do the usual bookstore tour, I want to
continue to use the book to raise money for progressive groups. It will
be easier this time: Penguin will pay all my expenses and can arrange to
partly subsidize events in most cities.

My friends working with me are putting together our 2003 schedule. We can
offer groups live appearances or an expanded version of the Globalvision
production “Counting on Democracy” with previously unscreened footage. I
am encouraging groups to hold events for which you can charge admission –
or free events at bookstores.

We will help coordinate. We will have terrific alternative media support
to promote your work: Pacifica radio stations, Democracy Now and more.

Please send back a note if you are interested in helping out – either your
organization sponsoring an event or your individual efforts. Include your
phone and contact details.

The tentative schedule of cities is on the web at

Peace,

Greg
