[Peace-discuss] Fwd: the fighting whities

As well intended as "fighting whities" approach of turning the tables
might be, does it does not sufficiently turn the tables.  The issue is not
simply one of race.  It's not just white people being racist - clearly
they don't have those intentions even.  Using the chief as a mascot is a
privilege that the conquering culture, white anglo-saxon culture, has over
the conquered culture, namely Indigenous "native americans."

The context of a racial mascot for "whites" has different meanings than
for Indigenous peoples.
