TO COUNTER PROPOSED KILLER ROBOT TANKS

In a Pittsburgh Post Gazette article published February 7th, 2002, (³The 
army breathes life into Roboburgh"), the intention of CMU and local 
industries to produce robot tanks for the military was revealed.

The article describes a robot tank with pinpoint accuracy of 80,000 feet. 

The people of Pittsburgh are being asked to passively accept the manufacture 
of a product that will be constructed to do one thing: kill. There will be 
no humanitarian spin-off. Where is the inquiry into whether it might not be 
a good idea to turn CMU into a super Vo-Tech School for the military? 

Attending the speakout will be local citizens, shelter providers, 
ministers, professors, students and veterans of the peace movement, to 
speak out against this proposed expansion of the military industrial 
complex in Pittsburgh. 


The anti-war speakout will take place at noon, March 27, in front of CMU's 
Doherty Hall, center campus, near the big clock.
