I announced this at the meeting last Sunday, but wanted to post it as
well.

WEFT is looking for two people to host The Courier, which is a 2-hour
daily (Monday-Friday) information service that broadcasts three news
shows: Democracy Now!, Free Speech Radio News and another progam that
changes every day.

These programs are pre-recorded onto minidiscs. All you do as an
airshifter is put the disc in the machine and press play after reading a
the station identification. You have to read a couple PSAs during the
first hour and that's it. Everything you read or say is written down for
you.

The Courier is 4:00 - 6:00. As the airshifter, you would need to be at the
station from 3:45 - 5:30 (or 5:45, depending on when the airshifter who
comes on after you arrives).

This is a super-easy way to get involved at WEFT. It's a lot of fun and
you will meet a lot of really cool people.

There will be a new airshifter training class in October for anyone who is
interested and has not been through the class.

If you would like to do this, or know of anyone else who might, email me
or contact WEFT.
