I agree that the PRC often initiates events and asks others to join them in
their good work and seldom joins other organizations who initiate actions,
events, etc. 
 
BUT, I support as many organizations a possible doing as many things as
possible to stop this war. I'd rather spend my time and energy doing
positive things to stop the war and not spend even one ounce on "territory
games" or name calling of other groups doing the same good work. 
 
Here's another way to look it:  Without the energy and enthusiasm generated
by AWARE, PRC would not have been inspired to sponsor its rally.  I am
flattered. AWARE is flattered. 
 
Save your energy for stopping this war. Show up at the PRC event or not.
The concern you address is more constructively examined in a meeting with
the PRC.

AWARE folks, I am addressing the request to cosponsor PRCs response rally to
the war on Iraq. I feel that although we should support any and all peace
efforts. I don't feel that PRC is willing to return the favor. PRC took our
idea of having a day of war event and twisted it to make it more PRCish. PRC
has been very hostile to AWARE and Student Peace Action and sent really
nasty emails to SPA saying that SPA is not organized and that Matt Reichel
is not really serious about organizing, we don't have the gestapo security
in black, blah, blah, blah. They have not sent any reps  to our meetings at
all our tried working with any other peace groups outside of PRC and VVAW.
Where has PRC been for our North Prospect for Peace protests? Where were
they on 9-11? 
Maybe Meredith can explain why PRC is so arrogant to SPA and AWARE yet
expects AWARE and SPA to cosponsor every thing they organize when they don't
have the courtesy to show up at our events or work with us.
I AM MAD!
This is fucking stupid!!
If we dont work together then we can't accomplish a damn thing.
Please respond and add some comfort to this.
