Folks,

I have just been informed by Meridith Kruse, Executive Director of the Illinois Disciples
Foundation, that Doug Rokke plans to attend the film showing and the discussion tomorrow
evening. This is great news, since Doug is certainly more up to date on these issues
than I am. He can talk about these issues from firsthand experience as well.

Please remember that the film begins at 7:00pm in the Bondurant Room (second floor) of
the Illinois Disciples Foundation (corner of Springfield and Wright Streets).

This film runs just under an hour, then it will be followed by a short discussion
period.

"The Dirty War" was produced by Britain's Independent TV Network 4 in 1994, documenting the "Desert Storm Syndrome" afflicting many U.S. and British soldiers. It shows the reactions that soldiers who fought in the Gulf War had to experimental injections, depleted uranium, nerve toxins, and other biological and chemical weapons. The Dirty War further illustrates how both the U.S. and British militaries refused to acknowledge or properly treat the effects to such exposures. "Desert Storm Syndrome" resulted in many returning soldiers unable to work or take care of themselves, often receiving minimal health care coverage and pension.

Hope to see many of you there.

Peace with Justice,
