[Peace-discuss] Action requested for Tues, 3-18

OK folks. The news in the world is pretty bad right now. Here a simple 
idea for a creative, fun action to relieve frustration.

As you may know, radio stations all around the country are being 
presurred to boycott the Grammy-winning band The Dixie Chicks for 
talking sense about US policy at a recent London concert. 
So...

Tuesday 3-18, all day, call this number and request they play the song 
"Landslide" by The Dixie Chicks.

WIXY, the country station, and MIX 94.5, a top 40 station, have the same 
number (good old media conglomerates!): 351-9494.

Call several times. Make sure you mention WHY you are calling. At worst 
they can refuse to play it. At best, if enough requests are phoned in, the 
song will make it onto MIX 94.5 'top 5 requested songs" at 9 pm.
