[Peace-discuss] confrontation/alternatives [Peace] P4P thoughts/ideas

Ken, Joan and all-

For those who couldn't make last night's meeting, a
new working group formed to plan an alternative event
for folks who feel they can no longer participate in
P4P (see minutes on peace list).

I would, however, just like to remind folks that P4P
was never *planned* as a confrontational event.  The
counterdemo made it so by intentionally scheduling
their event at the same place 1/2 hr before we
regularly begin.  Their organizer made it clear to me
thatthey are there only because of us.  (And by the
way, any event we plan is subject to this kind of
treatment, i.e. it could *be made* confrontational, if
the likes of Mark Thompson, Clear Channel, et al are
so inclined.)
