This whole move towards privatizing our water sources and services is
really scary. Even if we are somehow able to leverage greener technologies
and bring an end to the age of American Oil Wars, a new cycle of
exploitation and violence will certainly follow as corporate-states move
in to monopolize water sources and maximize profits.

It's good to see that citizens are successfully organizing and defeating
some of these giants as reported by Jim Hightower below.

I didn't know that a private claim had been made on the Ogallala Aquifer.
That's preposterous! J-F-C! Has there been any kind of resistance?! Did
anyone else know about this?
