Neoliberalism is one of the defining terms of our times, but do we share a common understanding of what it means? Where does the term come from? Who uses it? What are its greater implications?

 

Professor Nederveen Pieterse has an international reputation in the areas of globalization and transnational culture. His most recent books include Globalization and Culture: Global Melange (2003) and Globalization or Empire? (2004).
