[Peace-discuss] Bush, War profiteering, and 9/11

9/11 is still very much an issue as it has been one of the 
single most important political events signaling a major 
victory for the war-making interests among the powerful 
political elites in Washington and in the corporate 
boardrooms.  In fact, 9/11 has been one of the biggest booms 
to the corrupt military-industrial complex since the murder 
of JFK that provided the catalyst for LBJ to launch a full-
scale war with N. Vietnam under the false pretext of the 
Gulf of Tonkin incident.  Documentary evidence established 
soundly by progressive political researcher Peter Dale Scott 
in his book Deep Politics and the Death of JFK establishes a 
clear link between the change of Vietnam policy from 
Kennedy's NSAM 263 calling for the withdrawal of 1000 troops 
from Vietnam by the end of 1963 (with strong hints of full-
scale withdrawal to follow the 1964 election) to LBJ's NSAM 
273 that abruptly shifted official Administration policy 
toward escalation with the catalyst for this shift being the 
cold-blooded murder of a popular President. Once again, 9/11 
is instructive as the 3000 deaths of U.S. citizens in those 
vicious attacks can be linked to major war profiteering.  
Makes you wonder about the right-wing neo-conservative liars 
sitting at the top of this government...
