This is a follow-up to what I mentioned at today's meeting.

This is just a heads-up that the regular quarterly UPTV Commission meeting
is tomorrow, Monday, at noon (at the usual place, Urbana City Council
chambers - largest room on the ground floor - 400 S. Vine St.). It will
probably just run until 1PM. There will be a formal report on the progress
of Democracy Now! broadcasts. I don't expect any surprises and I don't plan
on giving any input, but I'll be there. Anyone who wants to attend as a
witness (just in case) will be appreciated =8-)

In addition, it appears that two other interesting topics will be on the
agenda: the outfitting of a new studio designed for live UPTV broadcasts
(something that the new AWARE media working group recently expressed
interest in) and also, apparently, discussion on the future of public-access
TV, perhaps touching on whether or not public-access should be moved out
from under direct government control in the next negotiated cable franchise
contract with Insight Cable.

Apparently, the meeting will *NOT* be televised on UPTV itself (it's not on
the UPTV schedule anyway).

The actual meeting agenda is available on-line at:
