Hi Susan,

The articles I recommended for a basis of debate on the electoral 
dilemma are:

Steve Shalom: "In Defense of Tactical Voting"
Thomas Harrison: "The Dead end of Lesser Evilism"
Michael Hirsch (less useful in my opinion): "Left Politics and 
Posturing…"

All three appear on New Politics, v.10, no 1, whole issue 37, Summer, 
2004.

They are posted at the web sites:

They used to be posted on ZNET, but i"ve been unable to locate them 
there now. Perhaps that is due to their (long) lengths, but I am 
surprised they have been removed.

Of course, there are many other articles that deal with the issue, the 
the Shalom and Harrison articles present the opposing (leftist) 
viewpoints quite completely.
