The saga continues. It helps to attend the meeting instead of
watching it on local Cable because Carle's witnesses have ALL asked
not to be recorded or televised.

I think this is VERY telling of their testimony.

Dear Lynn Sprout Supporters,

The case of Lynn Sprout v. Carle Foundation Hospital will continue this week,
Thursday, July 1 at 5:15pm at the Urbana City Bldg., 400 S. Vine Street.

Please come and show your support for Lynn. It made all of the
difference to Lynn to have you there for the first 4 days of her
hearing.

It has been nearly three years since Lynn was fired from her job as a
nurse manager in pediatrics at Carle Foundation Hospital after coming
out while caring for her dying same-sex partner of 18 years.

Lynn wants her job back, back pay, and for Carle to enforce its
nondiscrimination policy by granting Family Medical Leave to all of
its employees. The City of Urbana's Human Relations Officer found
probable cause that Carle discriminated against Lynn based on her
sexual orientation. Such discrimination is against the laws of Urbana.

Next week's trial will be the first step in a long legal process.
Lynn has already refused a $35,000 settlement offer from Carle to
keep her mouth shut. She refused the offer in part because she wants
a change in policy at the hospital.

Thank you.

Kimberlie
