Tonight's (Friday, March 5) "NOW with Bill Moyers" on PBS features a segment on the government's criminalizing of dissent that includes an interview with Mara
Verheyden-Hilliard attorney and co-founder, with Carl
Messineo, of the Partnership for Civil Justice. Mara is a member of the national Steering Committee of the
A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition, and co-chair of the Mass Defense Committee of the National Lawyers Guild.

"NOW with Bill Moyers" airs in New York City at 8:30 p.m., in Washington, DC at 9:00 p.m., in San Franciso at 10:00
p.m., and in Los Angeles at 8:00 p.m. To check your local

program is an edited piece so obviously we don't have any knowledge of, or control over, content.

A.N.S.W.E.R. NATIONAL ORGANIZER SPEAKS ABOUT HAITI ON PACIFICA

Also, you can hear an interview on Pacifica's Flashpoints with Sarah Sloan, a national organizer with the
A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition and a spokesperson for the
A.N.S.W.E.R. Youth and Student National Coalition. Sloan
reports on breaking news about Haiti, specifically her
discussions with the Ambassador of the Central African Republic regarding U.S. pressure to obstruct people's
ability to meet with and talk to President Aristide.

Sloan told Flashpoints, "We consider this [the
revelations] to be complete verification that this is
really coming from the Bush Administration to prevent
President Aristide from telling the truth, telling his
side of the story long enough for the U.S. government to attempt to install a new government in Haiti." To hear
this interview, go to:
http://www.pacifica.org/programs/flashpoints/flashpoints_040304.html

Today, tens of thousands of Haitians have taken to the
streets in the capital city of Port au Prince, marching to the U.S. Embassy and to the Presidential Palace demanding the return of President Aristide and the end to the
foreign invasion and occupation of their country by the
forces who carried out the coup d'etat against President Aristide. The so-called rebel leader Guy Phillipe revealed his true political orientation in an interview quoted by
the Black Commentator. "'Pinochet made Chile what it is,' Philippe 'gushed' when asked his favorite historical
figure. 'Number 2 on Philippe's list is former U.S.
President Ronald Reagan,' the Miami Herald reported."

FUNDS URGENTLY NEEDED FOR MARCH 20

Join hundreds of thousands of people on March 20 who are taking to the streets across the U.S. to fight back
against the Bush Administration's worldwide "regime
change" program from Iraq to Palestine to Haiti and
everywhere, and who will be standing with the people of Haiti as they struggle to restore their democracy.

We urgently need funds to make the March 20 demonstrations a huge success. The expenses of the New York demonstration alone that A.N.S.W.E.R. must raise are in the tens of
thousands of dollars. We cannot do this without your help. Please, make a TAX DEDUCTIBLE donation now by going to http://www.internationalanswer.org/donate.html

JOIN PROTESTS SATURDAY, MARCH 6 TO SUPPORT THE HAITIAN PEOPLE

Tomorrow, Saturday March 6, there will be a significant demonstration in New York City's Haitian community. We urge everyone in the New York, New Jersey, Connecticut area to attend. The demonstration will begin at 10:00 a.m at The Junction - Flatbush Ave.
