[Peace-discuss] Anti-Immigrant Legislation on U.S. House Floor TODAY -- need urgent help!!

Dear friends,

I am writing to you with an urgent request for support. There is a 
bill (HR 3722) scheduled for debate on the floor of the U.S. House of 
Representatives TODAY that would require hospitals to report to the 
Department of Homeland Security any undocumented patients that seek 
care in their emergency room.

This legislation is outrageous for many reasons, among them -- (1) 
forcing undocumented immigrants to choose between going to the 
hospital to get the care that they need to save their life, but then 
being deported away from their homes and families, or choosing to go 
without care and die; and (2) placing an extreme burden on already 
overwhelmed hospitals.

WE NEED YOUR HELP TO DEFEAT THIS ANTI-IMMIGRANT LEGISLATION!!!
