In addition I'll add that Amy Goodman's interview with Noam Chomsky today on DN! has some interesting comments on the current state of democracy, the flack over his and Howard Zinn's comments about the election, and a typical wry reaction to Amy's question "What gives you hope these days?"

 
Breaking Ranks 
After returning home to Pennsylvania, Mike Hoffman founded Iraq Veterans Against the War. "You realize that the people to blame for this are not the ones you are fighting." 

More and more U.S. soldiers are speaking out against the war in Iraq -- and some are refusing to fight.
