[Peace-discuss] Cosponsor PRC event?

Hey--

I was wondering if AWARE would like to cosponsor an upcoming PRC event.
We're holding a rally against the "Chief" on the evening of November 10th.
The UI Board is meeting at UIUC the following day so we are holding this
rally the night before, and will be at the Board meeting the next day. One
thing that's different about this rally is that it's at night-time. I know
usually community folks can't attend daytime events so we wanted something
that was more accessible.

Would you be able to discuss this on Sunday and get back to me next week?

The Progressive Resource/Action Cooperative (PRC) is an anti-
³Chief² rally before the next Board of Trustees meeting in
Urbana. It will be on November 10 at 6pm on the South Patio
of the Union.

It is really important to maintain pressure on the Board as
they attempt to talk their way out of concrete action
regarding the racist mascot. Direct action and vocal
pressure are the only times the administration has made any
progressive changes on campus. The Board needs to hear that
their undefined ³consensus conclusion² is not an acceptable
resolution of this issue.

We would like to invite your organization to be a cosponsor
of the event! We will include cosponsors on our publicity
and would like to have cosponsors help publicize the event
by forwarding the email announcement, etc.
