Friends,

If any of you NEA members work in the public schools, check out p 4 of this month's NEA Today, one of the magazines published by the NEA and sent to all educators. It shows an attractive middle-aged black woman, school setting, kids, flag..... She's where she is today, goes the blurb -- an assistant principal meeting the challenges of her job -- because she was one of the first female electricians in the US Air Force, rising thru the ranks to become Sr Master Sgt..... (Kinda covers all the bases, doesn't it?) There's a website listed, and, in red print @ the bottom of the page: "TODAY'S MILITARY Active Guard Reserve. See it for what it really is."

Appalled??? You can write to <neatoday at nea.org>
