SANGAMON RIVER ARTS FESTIVAL


East Main Street will be alive with artists, musicians, dancers and 
performers.  

Artists will be present throughout the Festival exhibiting artworks in 
painting, drawing, ceramics, fiber, glass, jewelry, photography, sculpture, mixed 
media and woodworking

Live performances start Saturday at 1:30 pm.

During the Festival there will be Music in Russell Park.  Folk singer Jimmy 
Rowland will be performing:       Friday, August 19, 2005   4:00 pm - 5:30 pm 
 Saturday, August 20, 2005   1:30 pm  - 3:00 pm     

The Zoo Theatre Improvisational Troop will be on hand Saturday at 3:00 pm.

The Boneyard Creek Cloggers perform Saturday at 4:00 - 4:30 pm with a 
clogging workshop from 4:30 - 4:45pm. 

We will have a Children’s Art Activities Booth run by the Champaign County 
Forest Preserve and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary on Saturday from 10:00 
- 4:00pm and Sunday 12:00 - 4:00.

 The Mahomet Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the Arts Festival as part of 
the Sangamon River Festival.
