Hello All,
We are contacting all the peace and justice organizations in the area
to network on upcoming events such as the Jan. 20th Inauguration and the
anniversary of the of the Iraq Occupation on March 20th. We are also
planning a lobby day with area representatives to cut the funding for new
nukes, urge an exit plan for Iraq, and to support the Non Proliferation
Treaty in May 05. We are looking for volunteers to help us lobby our reps
with in district visits (Feb 14-18) and phone calls. If you are
interested please respond to us via email or call 312-427-0403. Also,
please check out our national web site www.peace-action.org
I spoke directly to many of you and learned of some upcoming events
of interest. On inauguration day people will be boycotting consumerism by
participating in "Not a Damn Dime" where people are urged to refrain from
buying any goods. In the upcoming days and weeks we would like to keep in
contact so we can band together to work for peace and justice, a positive
and progressive foreign policy, and an informed and motivated community.
Thank you for your hard work and dedication to these issues, Sara
Mathers
