I can speak to this. I am on the WEFT Board of Directors along with
Kimberlie, although I'm not speaking for the Board in this note.

There is a lot of work being done these days on the WEFT Board regarding
anti-harassment/anti-discrimination policy. This is only the first official
action. More are pending. The issues you bring up are already being
addressed and I'm confident they'll be resolved with future official actions
of the Board in the next few months.

Strikes me in many ways as a very loose statement. Is there to be a
committee or court to decide what is "abusive", "derogatory" or
"belittling", even "intimidating", or is any such accusation to be
considered valid? Moreover, if such policies were to be carried forth
into WEFT programming, would there to be prior censorship?

This is going down a tricky path, even if for admirable reasons.
