Please forward!

The Peace Bazaar is only a few days away!

The 35th annual Peace Bazaar will be held Saturday, December 3rd at
Community United Church of Christ (corner of 6th and Daniel) from 9 a.m. to
3 p.m. Everyone is invited to come shopping at this fun event!

The Peace Bazaar is an annual (35th year!) alternative gift fair where we
sell donated items to raise funds for peace and social justice groups. We
have a wide variety of items available for sale including gifts (new and
recycled), UNICEF cards and calendars, works by local artists, antiques and
collectibles, books, plants, toys, furniture, fresh-baked goods, and much,
much more! For a heads-up on some of the more special items available this
year, check our new website at http://www.peacebazaar.org/ and click on the
"sneak peek" section.

The sale starts at 9 a.m. Come early for the best selection. Half-price
sale starts at 1 p.m.

Free parking is available in the church lot behind the building in both
"rental" and "church" spots. There is also free parking in two nearby UI
parking garages. Community United Church is the yellow brick church at 6th
and Daniel in Champaign.

All proceeds from the Peace Bazaar are donated to groups promoting peace and
social justice. This year 12 groups will be receiving bazaar proceeds.
These groups, along with descriptions of their work, are listed on our
website at http://www.peacebazaar.org/ . Last year we raised $3650 for
peace and justice groups - help us get it even higher this year!
