  Dear Hilary, Barack, Rahm, and Friends,
   
  You are not an alternative party, you stand for nothing that I can support; I just wish you did. You don’t stand for peace. You don’t stand for reasonable health care. You don’t stand for restoring our civil liberties. You don’t stand for the environment. You don’t stand for Koyoto. You are indistinguishable from the Republicans (except maybe you suck up more.)
   
   I know you think that we dissatisfied “Democrats” will give you our vote simply because the Republicans are so bad. Well, think again; because I consider you worse than the Republicans. Why? Because at least the Republicans represent the wishes of their constituency; on the other hand you are often further right than the Republicans and in no way represent the wishes of what you think is your constituency – you’re just a bunch of phonies who suck up to the existing power structure. 
   
  Its obvious to me that you all need to be kicked out and replaced with people who actually care what their supporters think. The only way I can see to do that is to do everything in my power to see that party-line Democrats are beaten so badly that they are basically driven from positions of authority in the party. So although I would love to vote for the Greens or some alternative candidate, I know that that will not result in your maximum defeat. And I want to see that. I want to see you beaten so badly that a regime change is inevitable.
   
  So I am going to bite the bullet and vote a straight ticket for those dirty rotten Republicans. That, I feel, is my only chance of seeing you all thrown out and the Democratic Party being rebuilt be people who pay attention to what the Republican opposition really desires.
   
  I never thought I could vote Republican, but this time I’m going to feel great about it. I want you people trashed so badly that we never see or hear from the likes of you again.
   
  Congratulations! You’ve made a temporary Republican out of me. Thanks for not listening.
