Thanks, Lisa for this view from your Jewish (Israeli?) friend.

IAs you say, "twisted vitriol" enmeshed in a tissue of deceptions.  
Its main message seems to be that if persecuted and abused when weak,  
one can feel righteous persecuting and abusing when strong. Behind  
all this is the racist thesis that Palestinians (or Lebanese,  
Iranians, Iraqis Syrians,…) are irrelevant and disposable before the  
wishes of a Greater Israel.

The correspondent might be told that this "I don't give a damn, keep  
the bombs falling" attitude could well lead to the extinction of  
Israel as it now exists. Most of the world would feel relieved were  
that to come to pass. The rhetoric of Israeli leaders these days has  
a Hitlerian quality, bitterly ironic as that may seem.  --mkb
