Yep, that's right. Only a few more days to write your Postcards for
Peace. If you are looking for a place to get these most-coveted-of-all
postage-paid already-addressed-to-your-Congresspeople postcards, then
you are in luck. There will be tables in the following locations:
- Strawberry Fields (today during the lunch rush)
- The Y on campus
- The IDF
- Market in the Square (this is the last Saturday for this)
- Community United Church of Christ (this Sunday, 11:10 for a half hour
in the parlor room next to the sanctuary)
- St. Mary's Catholic Church (this Sunday)
If you have a suggestion for a location, we'd be happy to take a
stacks-o-cards to other locales. Contact Barbara Kessel 365-9473 / Ricky
Baldwin 328-3037 / or Carol Inskeep 344-9155 carolinskeep (at) yahoo
(dot) com
What is the deadline? December 30th is the much acclaimed Mailing
Ceremony (at the IMC/WRFU/Post Office). Our goal is 1,000 by the 30th.
You too can read your postcard on the air (WRFU). Paul Kottheimer will
be there to entertain the crowds.
Were you looking for an informational flier to hand out? You are indeed
lucky! There is one available at
http://www.awarepresents.com/flyers/Postcards4PeaceBrochure.doc
Remember, you too can help defray the cost of the cards by donating a
mere dollar or two.
Postcards for Peace -- the campaign to remind the new Congress why they
were elected -- wishes to inform you that the 110th United States
Congress will convene on January 4, 2007.
Thank you for your support,
