There are occasional exceptions to the rule that the powerful
only give away power when they have no alternative, Janine. FDR
was such an exception, and has been described as a traitor to
his class. But if we depend on such exceptions, the powerful have
the people by the short hair.

In all of this, we must keep in mind that the people are sovereign.
We can be ruled by the few only if we permit them to divide us.
That is their plan. That has always been their plan. We don't have
to play their game.
