* Cartoon – protest of Daily Illini publishing of the 
cartoons with the prophet Muhammad: 
upcoming event : a public meeting, on campus, Wednesday, 
February 22
	7 pm, 317 Gregory Hall (corner of Wright and Armory, 
Champaign)

* ICPJ - April 1 meeting in Champaign, 2 representatives from 
AWARE: 
action -> proposed AWARE paying for 2 reps
* Finances
* AWARE Presents – Shadid coming March 7-8. 
* Church Presence – events before Easter (Lent begins March 
1st, Easter is April 16)
* Urbana City Council Resolution - Town Meeting this Tuesday 
(February 21), 7pm, Urbana City Council chambers
* Counter Recruitment – March 6 at Central High School might 
be an event (Navy will be there) 
* Anti-Racism Working Group 
– Patrick Thomas court date in March. $450 personal donations 
needed (to Bob Ilyes)

- meetings of CU Citizens for Peace and Justice are Saturdays 
at 4pm at IMC
5) Last Week – 
* Cartoon protest was last Tuesday at noon on campus. 200-300 
people there. See the Carol Inskeep interview in the Daily 
Illini. There was also a Round Table at 6:30 pm on Tuesday.
* Mosque Open House was Feb. 19 from Noon to 3pm. David Green 
attended. Well attended (50 people)
* Socialist Forum, strike on Kirby

* Town Meeting for the Urbana City Council Resolution, 
Tuesday, February 21, 7pm, Urbana City Council Chambers. 
* Simon Deng speaking on Darfur. Wednesday, February 22nd at 
7p.m., room 112 Gregory Hall (Action Darfur). For more
