CALLING ON EVERYONE TO SHOW UP TOMORROW, SUNDAY

AT NOON

AT DOUGLASS CENTER (5th and Grove in Champaign)

to leaflet nearby churches
with flyers on the July 22 vigil
for those who have died
in Champaign county jails in the past two years

Also, to raise awareness by word-of-mouth about Patrcik's case

Talking points:

1. ongoing attempt to silence a person who's been working to keep youth
out of jail
2. once again, system has white-woman-accusing-black-man-of-assault
3. guilty verdict with no physical evidence, inconsistent stories
4. Patrick denied a jury of his peers
5. accuser has a history of similar bogus accusations against at least
three other men of color.


this is to reach out to people who may not be following the papers or
listening to weft or wrfu
