By contrast, the July 19, 2006 issue of the Financial Times reported the following from residents of Haifa, one of the most bombarded Israeli cities:

"Between sirens at an open-air café, about 30 customers sat sipping drinks. A group of housewives swapped recollections of Sunday's barrage that killed eight workers at the railway depot along with comforting clichés: "Life must go on", "More people get killed on the roads every day".

There is no dissent with the government's harsh response to the Hizbollah barrage and little sympathy for battered Lebanon where the death toll in a week of war yesterday passed 200, 10 times the Israeli losses.

Yesterday it was business as usual. "Neither the Yom Kippur war nor the Lebanon war caused us to close the factory for even one day," Jacob Harpaz, Iscar president, told the Globes business daily. "It was as if we were in a bubble of work.""

FOX Reporter interviewing Jesus: Jesus, who would you bomb?
Jesus: Nobody, my son, nobody.
FOX: Aw, come on; say you have to bomb somebody.
Jesus: Well, if I have to, I’ll zero in on the White House.
FOX: Forget I asked.
