[Peace-discuss] re: media advice

Hi all, 

I'm leaving soon for Guatemala where I will be doing a year's 
worth of oral histories and I am trying to figure out what my 
best options are for sound recording. Can some of you 
alternative/independent media types help me out? I will have 
with me my macintosh laptop. Also wonder about 
free/opensource sound editing options which will run on a mac.
