Interested in the issues surrounding the Champaign Schools and the Black Community? There is a Great Campus Project meeting this evening.

The Unit 4 school district (Champaign) is under federal mandate to eliminate racial disparities in educational achievement and put more seats in North Champaign. The Great Campus Project is a grass roots idea to help the school district live up to its promise.

The Great Campus Project will put seats in North Champaign, it is a call for a K-8 school with high educational standards that would pilot the best teaching practices, and it will involve the University of Illinois to help solve community problems.

Tonight (October 23, 2006), 6pm
