well, how about extending it to the 3 referenda on the ballot - end
funding of the occupation of Iraq, restore detainee rights, no war
with Iran. this would be a tremendous start.

we could also start to think about e.g. a referendum for fall 2008
endorsing the international consensus on Israel/Palestine (the Arab
peace plan.) but i would propose moving this forward on a separate
track, at least at the beginning. We should have much better early
prospects reaching out on the Iraq occupation. Lead with the ace.
