Well, this list used to be closed (with archived messages only accessible
to list members).  Then at some point -- I'm not certain when, but
probably when the IMC upgraded to a new mail server and the lists
were moved -- it was switched to be an open list, accessible to
everyone including web crawlers, as (I guess) most IMC lists are.

I don't know whether there's ever been a discussion as to which is the
right way to go.  What do readers (and especially writers) of
peace-discuss think?  *Should* these lists' archives be accessible
only to subscribers?
