I see that Stuart and I were responding at the same time. I didn't realize 
that we used to be closed. As I said, I think closing our archives to 
non-list-members is a good idea. I suspect that making them public was 
inadvertent and not an AWARE decision.

Some archives at the IMC are closed and some are open. There is no general 
rule- it depends on the intended function of a particular list.
