*IRAQ TODAY: CONVERSATIONS WITH INDEPENDENT IRAQI JOURNALIST SALAM TALIB*

Independent Iraqi reporter Salam Talib will be in Champaign Urbana this week
to meet and discuss the occupation of Iraq.  Mr. Talib was the Iraq affairs
correspondent for Free Speech Radio News from 2003-2005 during which he
filed over 500 stories from the ground in Iraq. He is co-author of a number
of stories with Aaron Glantz, author of How American Lost Iraq.  His work
has been featured in the Nation, Common Dreams, and Antiwar.com. He is the
founder of the Computer Learning Mobile Project, which is designed to teach
computer skills to disabled residents in Iraq.
