[Peace-discuss] Cycles

It is hard to miss, as John Wason pointed out, that there are
"patterns that endlessly repeat themselves." History is as much
cyclic as linear.

Dealing with cycles is like weeding a garden. No matter how good
a job one does, the weeds will eventually come back. This is not
reason for despair, but it is certainly annoying. One would like
to fix society and have it stay fixed, but this does not seem to
be an option.
