Area Denial and Force Protection with Non-Lethal Incapactiation

TASER Shockwave is the first generation of new TASER Remote Area Denial
(TRAD) technology. Shockwave integrates TASER's field proven Neuro Muscular
Incapacitation (NMI) technology into the first anti-personnel area-target
system capable of not only denying personnel but also incapacitating
personnel, all with reversible non-lethal effects.

With the push of a button, Shockwave deploys multiple TASER Cartridges
oriented across an area arc to provide full coverage to simultaneously
incapacitate multiple personnel standing within that region.

The baseline Shockwave unit is a command activated, 6-shot device that
covers a 20 degree arc with the 25ft XP TASER Cartridges. When activated,
the clacker-style controller will initiate the discharge of all cartridges
simultaneously with 5 seconds of delivered NMI, like the TASER X26™.
Reactivating the controller will allow additional 5 second discharges as
needed to ensure situation control and safety of the overwatch team.
Further, Shockwave is designed to be a fully modular system, allowing the
end user complete flexibility to deploy as needed to achieve the desired
objective. Multiple Shockwave units can be stacked together (like LEGOs(r))
side by side in order to extend area coverage or vertically to allow for
multiple salvo engagements where target opportunities may be layers deep or
risk profiles dictate multiple event possibilities.

To continue the theme of modularity, individual Shockwave units can also be
"daisy-chained" in limitless combinations to allow an optimized response for
every deployment, independent of specific terrain, emplacements, obstacles,
or threat profiles.

We are preparing to release pilot deployments of the Shockwave in late 2007
to select customers and depending on customer feedback, full release of the
product to the field in 2008.
