The neocons have their support amongst the American poor--- the Red State
Christian Zionist/
Dominionists who really want to precipitate the arrival of Armageddon. I agree
that the neocons
probably care for the American poor probably less than the Nazis cared for the
Geman poor. But, I
think you discount the support the Bush neocons actually have amongst this
committed sector of
American religious nuts. Furthermore, I don't see how the neocons can be
undone.
The myth of the War on Terror prevents a real opposition to continued
petro-imperialism in the
Caspian Sea, the Persian Gulf, and Northern/Western Africa. Only if the 911
myth is exposed will any
real progress be made---don't look to Washington for this. The 911 myth is a
boon to Big Brother and
the corporate sector than can profit from it forever. And, the 911 myth works
with the Armagedddon
instigators to keep their soteriological delusion alive and well. After all, if
America destroys the Islamic
menace; Jesus will come and exercise his Holy Judgement upon the planet saving
them and destroying
everyone else.
