  WTC 7's Facade Plunged at a Nearly Free-Fall Rate 
  One of several features of the total collapse of WTC Building 7 that is common in controlled demolitions is the rapid descent of the building. Several videos captured the descent of WTC 7's facade from the north. A video taken from West Street about 1000 feet from the building shows the north facade in considerable detail as it descends. The following montage was created using frames from that video separated by one-half second intervals.

  The table above contains data on the downward displacement of the northwestern corner of WTC 7 over the period of four seconds shown in the image slices comprising the montage.


    (Why are we comparing 1 second of facade with .35 seconds of free fall?  2 seconds facade with 1.35 seconds free fall?  Your whole table is skewed by .65 seconds from left to right, but we're adding and subtracting anyway.  Why is that?  We'll see, below.)



   The red rulers superimposed on the image slices demarcate floors. Displacements were measured by comparing the rulers to the roof of the white building in the foreground. The displacements in feet were computed from the displacements in floors using the estimated floor spacing of 12 feet. The error margin in placing and reading the rulers is about 3 feet. 
  The displacement of an obect in free-fall is shown in columns to the right of those showing the facade movement. The free-fall distances at the half-second intervals are based on the object being released 0.15 seconds after the time coordinate of the second image slice. 
  The rightmost column gives the free-fall distances minus the facade displacements. The differences are within the estimated margin of error for the facade displacement measurements for all but the first and final frames. This shows that the facade of WTC 7 accelerated downward at very close to the rate of free-fall in at least its first three seconds of descent, 


    I wouldn't be surprised.  At ~3000 tons per floor (about 96 million pounds total for your 16 floors) falling through a vertical distance similar to the number of floors with already weakened steel... 

    So, let's take a closer look at your video frames and see how close to free fall we really are.  Your video shows approximately 16 floors, according to your red rulers, which x your guys' estimate, 12 feet = 192 feet of building exposed.   Your video shows it took slightly over 4.15 seconds to disappear behind the building.

  d = (0.5) * (9.8 m/s2) * (4.15 s)2 = 84.3 m, or 275 feet, for real free fall.

  Hmm, 192 feet in 4.15 seconds for the building, 275 feet for free fall.  I must have slipped up here, right?



  Building 7's Collapse 
  Features of a Textbook Implosion 
  The total collapse of WTC 7 at 5:20 PM on 9/11/01 shows all of the features of an implosion engineered through controlled demolition. 
  Controlled demolition is the use of pre-positioned explosive charges to destroy structures. Depending on the nature of the structure and constraints imposed by its surroundings, a controlled demolition may require a great deal of precision in its planning and execution. That is especially true of tall steel buildings in urban settings, given the natural tendency of such structures to topple. Controlled demolitions of buildings in cities are designed to implode the structures, making them sink into their footprints and fold in on themselves into a small consolidated rubble piles 
  Observing the collapse of 47-story WTC 7 shows it to have all of the features of an implosion engineered by controlled demolition.

    Of course - don't tell me - my problems with your pals' analysis prove that I am unmoved by any evidence, no matter how compelling, right?  That's why the typical 'dead horse' woowooery when producing ginned-up data, right?  

    Maybe if you go to a non-woowoo 9/11 source, you might not have to lower the audience's expectations so much.  But wait - that's right, there aren't any that post this crap!  =)
