AWARE,
    It is not so much that democracy is inherently unworkable...  It is that democracy in praxis is 
unworkable.  Democracy cannot work because of the limits with which Americans in mass society have 
circumscribed their minds and their social consciousness.  Thus, democracy does not work because of its 
inherent nature so much (though democracy inherently is difficult and unwieldy regardless); democracy 
does not work because in practice our social systems as constructed have too many in-built biases that 
mitigate organic democratic developments.
